promoting request params to conversation scope via s:param tag in Seam 3?

I just ran across a use case for f:param embedded in h:commandLink and param not being promoted to conversation scope in a SFSB backing bean is there a s:param in Seam 3 to promote f:param to conversation scope when backing bean is conversation scoped? i have to manually set and get a property now to accommodate this functionality.

Or perhaps this is included in JSF 2 and flash scope?  thx.

Apparently @RequestParameter can be used to inject the value into a property.
