1. Re: Seam Conversations dead?
lightguard Mar 10, 2011 5:24 PM (in response to accountclosed)This forum is for Seam 3, which is quite a bit different than Seam 2. The bugs you have filed are not applicable to Seam 3, please ask on the Seam 2 forum.

I've come back to check and noticed three out of the five bug reports I filed almost three years ago have not been touched. They deal with show stopping bugs, namely:
No active conversation context - Exception
Natural Conversations Target Unreachable identifier conversation scope bean resolved to null
Natural Conversations: conversation id evaluated to null
No work has been done on these bugs. Is conversation support dead in Seam? Is Seam dead? No, Seam is not dead, very far from it :) These issues may have fallen through the cracks. Please follow-up on the Seam 2 forums.

accountclosed Mar 10, 2011 6:00 PM (in response to accountclosed)Thanks for the response. I didn't know that there was a major architectural difference. Flash seems to be the new conversation. I'll check that out.

3. Re: Seam Conversations dead?
shane.bryzak Mar 11, 2011 3:15 AM (in response to accountclosed)The conversation scope is now standardised as part of CDI (JSR-299), which is why any outstanding conversation-related issues haven't been given priority in Seam 2.

On a side note, I've been out of JEE development for a couple of years now so I'm playing catch up. JEE 6 appears to have addresses a lot of the concerns of the development community. Also, glad to see Gavin's JSR got through.
