jdk 1.6.0_26 WTF?

What the hell is happening to the JVM, I get all sort of ClassCastException after I upgraded my machine to jdk-1.6.0 update 26, it happened before with 1.6.0 update 24 and now again it's occurring with the latest release.

Most of the seam-modules do not work, mostly weld is broken under 1.6.0 update 25+ and even plain webapps using resteasy have the same issue?

Does anyone what's going on in there?

I would suggest asking Oracle what they did.

Try upgrading to Weld 1.1.1.Final

If that does not help, wait for WELD-897 . You can use JDK 1.6u24 or lower in the meantime.

Does AS7 Beta3 include Weld 1.1.1 Final? And does it work with Seam3 out of the box?

I tried weld 1.1.1.Final and still the same thing persists.

Probably I should wait on the next release of seam which will hopefully depend on weld-1.1.1.Final
