How to implement sortable list?

Hello together...

I'm trying to implement a simple list with sortable headers.
As I work with the richfaces-components I know the only component which supports sorting ist the rich:scrollableDataTable.

For my purposes the rich:dataTable will be the fastest solution.... what have I do to make a rich:dataTable sorted (in memory, not with sql-lookup)?

Put stuff in a SortedSet and change the comparator, maybe?

i'm trying with the comparator and i need to pass two vars from seam-el to the backin-bean. is this not possible?
