christian.bauer Feb 26, 2008 11:37 AM (in response to hubaghdadi)What's the point of that? So we can send messages to each other through a closed and dumb system? So that we can give our data to other companies for advertising?

hubaghdadi Feb 26, 2008 12:12 PM (in response to hubaghdadi)No but since Spring and Grails have groups, I thought it will be cool to establish a group for Seam too...

are not the right reasons why communication should move to a closed and advertising-financed website of some random company that wants to accumulate data. -
4. Re: Seam LinkedIn group
svadu Feb 26, 2008 12:42 PM (in response to hubaghdadi)I don't think groups are used there for communication, at least not the one I am in. It allows to build and maintain a network of people (btw there is a JBoss group on Facebook, the difference is that LinkedIn is used for professional networks). And it also shows a logo in the profile if someone is a part of the group.
There are many more groups there. And the only reason for creating a group I could possibly think of is to increase visibility and promotability of Seam.
I am not saying let's all jump in. But what I actually mean is that Seam needs more promotion.
