JSF 2.0 (Mojarra 2.0) and Richfaces

Tried to search on the topic but couldn't find what I am looking for.

Now the stable release of JSF 2.0 is out. How would that work with existing projects. As far as I know the Rf 3.x.x is based on Jsf 1.2. Will it be possible to upgrade Jsf to 2.0 in my projects and still work with Rf 3.x.x until 4 is ready?
