Hi all,

I tried to upload a file using s:uploadFile. I follow the reference manual but it still not work. All attributes are empty.

Added in components.xml

<web:multipart-filter create-temp-files="false" 
                          max-request-size="5200000" 
                          url-pattern="/*"/>

No add in web.xml seam filter was already set.

my xhtml page :

I've got always uploadedFile is null message.

Any idea ?

Can you try it with the scope of your component changed to CONVERSATION?

I add @Scope(ScopeType.CONVERSATION) on my uploadedFile component.
Still the same behaviour

just a guess, but try url-pattern "*" instead of "/*"
in multipart-filter

could you try to remove the web:multipart-filter completely?

Set a breakpoint in FileUploadRendererBase.doDecode() and see if the request is recognized as a MultipartRequest.

I am using seam 2.0.1.GA and a quite similar case works fine.

I could replicate the problem, if I use:

   <web:multipart-filter create-temp-files="true" 
                          max-request-size="10485760" 
                          url-pattern="*"/>                           

then the uploaded data is always null
but with this setting it works fine:

   <web:multipart-filter create-temp-files="true" 
                          max-request-size="10485760" 
                          url-pattern="*.seam"/>

All my xhtml file has no extension, so my seam filter mapping is

  <filter-name>Seam Filter</filter-name>
  <filter-class>org.jboss.seam.servlet.SeamFilter</filter-class>

  <filter-name>Seam Filter</filter-name>
  <url-pattern>/*</url-pattern>
</filter-mapping>

I supposed i should be the same for my  <web:multipart-filter.

When tried both * and /*, and nothing works.

Any idea ?

my seam filter url-pattern is the same
however I use .xhtml as file-extention and *.seam for my faces servlet (standard - I didn't change it)

I'm quite new to all this seam stuff - so I can't tell, if this is a bug or if you must use fileextentions or maybe just have misconfigured another setting.

Just try to use a clean project from seam-gen and then adopt this to your needs. Hope this helps.

There is soem kind of problem because the request is not handle as a MultipartRequest.

What i have missed ?
