Best approach to create a calendar view?

I need to build a calendar view where I can see which persons are on holiday at certain days. How would I do this in SEAM?

The rich:calendar already offers all functionality of a calendar but I cannot display additional information like calendar entries in it, correct?

I cannot imagine that I have to build the whole calendar functionality by myself but I did not found any example until now. Should I use Jasper reports for displaying calendar like data or should I build my own model and use a datatable for it or what are you suggesting?

I only found one commercial control for JSF but I can't believe that no one ever used a calendar view before in SEAM.

Any ideas appreciated!

I would use Richfaces dataGrid with 7 columns and sufficiently many rows.

Using that and some kind of MyDayEntity List to iterate over and you're not that far away....
