seam 2.1.0.A1 with jboss in linux

I've tried to run seam registration example with JBOSS 4.0.2 and 4.0.4.GA in both versions I have the following error :

11:06:11,795 ERROR MainDeployer Could not create deployment: file:/home/ericom tx/jboss-4.0.4.GA/server/default/tmp/deploy/tmp48347jboss-seam-registration.ear- contents/jboss-seam-registration.jar
org.jboss.deployment.DeploymentException: ejb-jar.xml must either obey the right  xml schema or define a valid DOCTYPE!

My linux distribution is debian etch rc2 32bits

What is necessary the set things right in this environment ?
