pieter.martin Apr 11, 2008 9:34 PM (in response to pieter.martin)Hi
As a work around I am using
org.jboss.seam.beforePhase
and theAPPLY_REQUEST_VALUES
for now. I do a redirect during this phase if a certain condition is met. I would however prefer to do the redirect during theRESTORE_VIEW
phase.Cheers

what is your requirement ? redirect on what ?

pieter.martin Apr 12, 2008 8:35 AM (in response to pieter.martin)Hi,
I am intercepting the back button and redirecting the user to the page he was at before using the back button with a IllegalNavigation message. I did this in the same way that seam does when intercepting the back button in a jpdl pageflow.
When the back button is used in a pageflow Seam redirects the user during the RESTORE_VIEW after the Context have been restored.
I am however not using jpdl pageflow as I am trying to realise a JBPM processdefinition as a pageflow. The user navigates from task to task as defined in the processdefinition. The back button however breaks this flow so I need to intercept it.
Thanks

pieter.martin Apr 13, 2008 2:50 PM (in response to pieter.martin)Hi
Can I create a feature request for raising the SeamPhaseListener event for the RESTORE_VIEW phase after the contexts have been initialized?
Or is it not an good idea to start of with?
Cheers

bossdida Jul 16, 2010 4:10 AM (in response to pieter.martin)Hi there,
Pieter can you put some example code for handling back button event please.
I have such an assignment to show a warning popup when back button is pressed and perevent nevigation at all. We don't use page flows and conversation between pages is not maintained (usually).
I don't know from where should I begin.
I've to mention also about that I don't have much experienced in Seam as well.
Thanks for any contribution.

pieter.martin Jul 16, 2010 5:41 AM (in response to pieter.martin)Ahem, I am afraid not. That was 2 years ago, moved on or more like away from that project some time ago.
At the time I changed seam code base as shown in the jira and recompiled seam.Perhaps you can do the same.

bossdida Jul 18, 2010 3:04 AM (in response to pieter.martin)Recompiling seam is kinda risky for me.
Thanks for reply anyway.
