The web page blinking when using a4j:commandButton?

When I use a a4j:commandButtion to go from one page to another, the whole web pages flashes/blinks when it renders the new page. If I use enable redirect in my navigation rule, the page transition is much smoother..

Is this because using ajax request when moving to a new page should not be used? (I think using h:commandButton works ok)
Or is there some other reason?

yes, FAQ at wiki contains the problem of ajax navigation description. It's not allowed in general, only for some specific cases.

Oki, I am using a4j button because I need ajax support but using redirect is the right way then?
Or is it recommended using h:commandButtone with a4j:support?

redirect wil be ok. and h:command should not be used with support and has no sense in general as it will cause two concurrent requests.
