button/checkbox not responding on 1st click

Hi,

In my richfaces application specially when using IE7 the listener attached to a checkbox or an a4j command button doesnt get fired on the first click,
has anyone faced a similar problem?
on clicking the button again it is fired.
the checkbox problem is never seen when using Firefox.
