1. Re: Action method not invoked when button is rendered after being hidden
mbelicek May 16, 2008 12:17 PM (in response to mbelicek)Looks like nobody knows. Meanwhile I found that if I replace h:commandButton with s:button then the action method is invoked.
The remaining question is how to submit form with s:button.

3. Re: Action method not invoked when button is rendered after being hidden
mbelicek May 16, 2008 12:34 PM (in response to mbelicek)I have read the FM. I know that s:button does not submit the form. That's why I'm asking how to make it to submit the form. Maybe I can use a javascript in onClick attribute which I hoped somebody would confirm or discourage.
I have the situation here where h:commandButton is useless because action is not called and s:button is useless because it does not submit. Now what. Instead of constructive idea you give me RTFM. Thank you very much Mr. God Muir.

pmuir May 16, 2008 1:14 PM (in response to mbelicek)Hehe.
It's by design - <s:button /> isn't supposed to submit the form. I would suggest you try to work out why <h:commandButton /> isn't working rather than hack <s:button />.

stephen May 16, 2008 1:42 PM (in response to mbelicek)How about showing more of your code (xhtml/jsp) plus backing bean methods?

mbelicek May 16, 2008 3:39 PM (in response to mbelicek)I can't reproduce it anymore after we did some changes in db. I will report back when I have more details.
