Seam, Do i need it for production Enviroments ?

Hello.

I'm in charge of put a production Server for my firm.

I read quite about Jboss and Java and optimizing, but I'm still not confident about Seam.

In the seam_reference.pdf Pdf says Seam is a Framework, and the Wiki says that a framwork si mainly for development.

But, the developers says that they need seam installed in the server to make the app running right.

So that's my question: Do i need to install Seam in a production server ? If yes... how I integrate with Jboss ?
if not ... Will i get more stable platform if i install it ?

You shouldn't need to install or integrate Seam with your JBoss production server. The Seam jars should be included in the ear (or war) that your developers gave you to deploy. If they aren't, they packaged their application the wrong way !

What about portal ? I think portal isnt a framework, so I need to deploy it in the usual way ?
