Null values and dates

Sorry, I know this has probably been addressed but I can't find it.

I am having one crazy time getting the seam genereated project to work for a coupe of cases in both Oracle and Mysql when it comes to DATE fields.

Is there a tutorial or FAQ that addresses the best way to deal with dates.

When going from List view to Info view I keep getting Invalid Argument type
