rich:fileUpload is a component which provides file upload functionality and extends functionality of standard input with type=file.
<s:fileUpload> Renders a file upload control. This control must be used within a form with an encoding
type of multipart/form-dataJBoss/redhat is using file upload functionality in the customer support portal web site (there is a separate attachment tab for each case).

christian.bauer Jul 11, 2008 6:48 AM (in response to admin.admin.email.tld)I know it's damn hard to find but if you look under the text area, there is a checkbox. The label reads
Let me type some plain text, not markup
. That disables markup and parser completely and lets you paste whatever unformatted crap you want. Maybe we need to make it a blinking flash or something? For the rest of your suggestions, submit patches.

admin.admin.email.tld Jul 12, 2008 7:23 PM (in response to admin.admin.email.tld)I noticed that checkbox and started using it in some of my recent posts. Blinking flash is unnecessary, it's in plain view next to save button, can't miss it. That helps a lot.
When you say submit patches, how does that process work? I've never done that and would like to contribute (is a JIRA needed, SVN repository location, code review required?, etc.)
Is there a FAQ for JBoss project patch submissions??
I really want to see in this forum that every reply to a post in a thread/topic generates an email to all previous topic posters/repliers (regardless or who started the topic). That's the only way to really make sure nobody gets left hanging when they need help here...

admin.admin.email.tld Jul 12, 2008 7:27 PM (in response to admin.admin.email.tld)also, the performance of this forum since it's go live a few months ago has improved in North America at least (i'm in SoCal). It could be improved some more, it seems it's taking a little long for a request/response HTTP round-trip for simple HTML/text CRUD operations (i.e. no file uploads or downloads).
But I have noticed that the same problem exists for me on the Customer Support Portal for the JBoss Dev sppt. Slow there as well:

admin.admin.email.tld Jul 12, 2008 7:33 PM (in response to admin.admin.email.tld)I found this link on this forum:
http://www.seamframework.org/Community/GettingStartedDevelopingTheSeamFramework
But I want to download and submit patch(es) for this forum/wiki source specifically. Is the wiki source for this forum the same as the wiki source in the seam2.x distro?
