ericjava.eric.chiralsoftware.net Jul 12, 2008 3:10 AM (in response to ericjava.eric.chiralsoftware.net)Thank you! The one that I created does use s:formattedText. And yes, I would love to have this incorporated into RF. I've already created one tag for Seam: the s:swing tag so I would like to do another.
To get this into RF, it would need to have no actual Seam dependencies, so it would need to support s:validateFormattedText as a child element, not something built-in. It would then need to have a facet for the text errors. This would be a cool tag to have. How do I go about getting this incorporated?

pmuir Jul 12, 2008 8:42 PM (in response to ericjava.eric.chiralsoftware.net)Exactly - a much more interesting component if you can nest standard JSF validators, rather than a custom solution. To get it included I would create a JIRA in the RF JIRA and post a patch.

ericjava.eric.chiralsoftware.net Jul 14, 2008 1:52 AM (in response to ericjava.eric.chiralsoftware.net)Ok, I'll see if I can turn it into an RF tag. I've never worked within the RF code base so I don't know how to add tags to it (what do I subclass, how do I install resources, etc) but I can figure it out.
