disable tab client side

Is it possible to disable a tab client sided using javascript of the tabpanel? I like to disable tabs which are inactive and don't want to rerender the whole tabpanel with its content.

unfortunatelly - you should reRender tabPanel for that. reRendering rich:tab component updates its content.

Yes thats my point. Should that be a nice new feature for the tabpanel? Its pretty expensive to rerender all content when only some inactive tabs change.

yes and this already added to discussion in 4.x design tabPanel thread.

Great! If have been to Devoxx Antwerpen last two days and now I'am very positive and well informed about the new stuff that will be available. I am looking forward for the new stable 4.0 version of richfaces.
