not mapping variable in the database

What if I don't want to create a column which derived from a variable what should I do? Is there any annotation for this? All the variables that I declare in my program mapped as a column name in the table. What should I do to get rid of this?

Not sure if I understand ... you have an @Entity annotated class and you want one of it's attributes not to be saved into DB, right ? Annotate it with @Transient.
