JBoss Seam 2.1 BETA really slow

I know you are going to improve seam performance until GA, but i just changed seam 2.0.1.GA jars to seam 2.1 BETA and 90% of my pages are 15 seconds slower. Was this expected ? i tried beta version because i wanna to adapt my system to use urlRewriter facilities.

How did you benchmark the performance? Did you use any tool to do the benchmark?

No i didnt, i just can see it with my eyes ;), its really slower then 2.0.1.GA. I just changed the jars.

You forgot to update your xsd references in you *.xml

Ok I found it (seems to not be included in the distributions but is part of trunk):

Did you figure this out? I'm having the same problem with Seam 2.1.0.CR1. I have checked all the XML files etc. Everything is working but all the page loads take 100 % of CPU and are really slow.

I noticed that this happens only when using hot deployment, so deploying in prod profile works fine. Would be nice to be able to use hot deployment though. I'm running Jboss 4.2.1.GA in OSX Tiger. This didn't happen with Seam 2.0x.
