SEAM has its own Membership-Provider (IdentityManagement, PermissionManagement) which is quite extensible. Look at the SEAM-Reference Chapter 15: Security.

 actually you would be the right guy to ask, i assume you know both Java and Csharp, and familiar with .NET. i do believe that java has much to offer , does seams have a steep learning curve ? does java overall added to you what .NET failed to offer ?
