    Excel for 2.0.x?

    mdesignz

The new jboss-seam-excel under Seam 2.1.0 is great!  However, there are some issues with rendering it (specifically:   Application was not properly initialized at startup, could not find Factory: javax.faces.context.FacesContextFactory) that also appears to affect Mail and PDF as well.  This issue is absent in Seam 2.0.x.   This may be wishful thinking, but is there any chance of implementing the new Excel stuff under 2.0.x?

          No ;-)

Please just file a JIRA issue for the bug in 2.1 so we can get that fixed...

What features are new and only for 2.1?  I am using it for 2.0.x, but I will switch my production app to 2.1 when both JBAS 5 and Seam 2.1 are out.

You mean I have to do more than complain!?!
I was holding off on the JIRA until I could produce a simple example, and I thought the guys experiencing a seemingly related problem with e-mail, might (hopefully) beat me to it!
Anyway, I'll create the JIRA issue, and then submit the example when I get it.  By the way, a spectacular framework.  Thanks for spending the time creating it!

The module is pretty low on dependencies so if you really want it for 2.x it should be possible to backport it yourself with a simple build script.

Hmm, haven't really kept a changelog from the times it lived as an JIRA attachment. Some bugfixes and the stuff (mostly templating) that I mention in the sticky thread

I'm using Excel with Seam 2.0.3 CR1 and it works pretty well.

The only problem I've found is related to CSV export, which cames without the last element of the list, while the excel output is ok. Is this a known issue ?

Yep, known issue. Fixed by now.
