How can there be a CID on a s:link propagation=none?

Really simple question: I have an s:link propagation="none". For some reason, a CID is showing up on it. How can this be? Somehow my app is creating new conversations all over the place, which is not good.

Shouldn't happen. File an example to reproduce in JIRA and we can take a look.
