PROPOSAL - create different forum topics

pretty self explaining topic ;-)

Great job with this forum, but that would be my wish list for the close future:

• create different sub forums, where different threads dont get lost on the huge list as it's now. furthermore it would be way easier to scan for related posts.

• make an entry editable. PLUS allow mail-subscription not only at topic creation time

• skip the FORUM-NAME at the beginning of each subject line. this make RSS-feeds really really hard to distinguish.

skip forum in RSS: I'll vote if you JIRA ;-) Especially on mobile phones you don't see much more than the forum name at first glance

means that you are afraid of people posting in a wrong forum? i wouldn't be too concerned about that. other forums seem to be able to deal with this too...

Hmmm, RomeFeedConnector has a

fe.setTitlePrefix("(" + feed.getTitle() + ") ");

although I need to step it through to see where the () becomes []

It would also be nice to add tags to older posts where I forgot to add them (and perhaps add tags to replies).

First of all, I would like to congratulate Christian for his excellent job.
I agree with Jan that allowing mail-subscription not only at topic creation time, would be a great feature, as well as a user-watch topic area, same way as the old jboss forum.
I would like to help with subversion but I´m afraid I am not able to at the moment, anyway I just wanted to share with the forum people that 2 missing features (mail-subscription, and topic-watching).

Btw, I remember there was a forum about this website, but now I don´t manage to find it. Has it been removed? I´m asking this because I think that would be the place to have this discussion and not in this seam users one :-)

I'd suggest to not only skip the forum name, but also skip the title of the post and the leading text when replying:
