setting table rows of "rich:scrollableDataTable" programmati

Hi,
i want to select one row in my scrollableDataTable.
I have to do this programmatically. for example with a command button.
i'm using the SimpleSelection in my managedBean and the scrollableDataTable has a value-binding to this simpleSelection.
But if i change the SimpleSelection object, nothing happens.
Can anyone give me hint.

I just get the richfaces-demo local sample and added button which just adds first row to simple selection - works fine.

show the code if will not be able to resolve.
