Free or cheap jBoss SEAM hosting

    vadim

      HI all!
I am a SEAM developer and I'm making my hobby project with SEAN framework. But I am not sure whether it will bring me a profits. And I'm wondering is there a free or cheep jBoss hosting.

I personally prefer to own my own servers so I can upgrade the DB, JBoss AS, or anything else I see fit.

My hosting costs $100 for 1U with 1TB of bandwidth.

If your finances are short I suggest virtual hosting.

There are a few places that offer hosting for JBoss, but I cannot comment on their quality.

I just cannot stand the idea of working around a hosting providers limitations regarding security or software versions.

            Are you a hoster?
            Or are you hosted?

            Can you provide details?

If you did not use EJBs, only pojo sem components you may choose a simple tomcat web-server(these are cheaper).

                Another reason to avoid EJBs!

This.  I'm hosted on a private Tomcat instance on MochaHost (http://www.mochahost.com/).

It's the best price I could find, and the admin tools are very nice.  You can even set up subdomains if you like!

Seam consumes a lot of RAM, also using tomcat instead of full JEE server limits some seam features.

Check http://www.serverpronto.com. Still dont purchased but seems the best price/features ratio. I will take a $44/month for 1.5GB AMD 2000 server in a near future to put my seam app.
