seam-pdf as a standalone in jsf project

I've used seam-pdf in an earlier seam project, it worked like a charm.

However, the current project I'm working on is a straight jsf/facelets+spring based. I was wondering if there is any problem if I use jboss-seam-pdf.jar directly in my jsf project and work the same way as I did before. I'm going to try it this week but before that -- any gotchas? any tweaks I need to do for non-seam projects?

PDF uses stuff in seam core, so you need to extract some stuff from the core to make it work (Document servlet)

Yeah, it's crapping out at DocumentStore class. It looks like there are further internal dependencies with annotations. I'll have to hack up my own version.

But its a shame that such a useful feature of JSF is so coupled with Seam.

Yeah.  It's a shame that it's so coupled to the code that makes it so easy to write things like that in the first place.   :)
