    Which IDE

    sayusiando

      Hi All!

I'm new in Seam and I can't decide which IDE good for me. My favorite is Netbeans - for php and java, but the Seam group hasn't official support for this. I used for few years Eclipse but I don't like it. But, the Seam has support for this trough JBossTools.

So, I need some advice, suggestion etc. about IDE. What is good for start to learn Seam?

      Thank you!

            I use Eclipse with JbossTools.

But a few of my co-workers use IDEA. The new version of IDEA has pretty good support for SEAM and doesn't require the strict project structure that Eclipse/Jboss Tools enforces.

Thank you the answers both of you.

I will start at Eclipse but I keep on my eyes on IDEA and NetBeans.

                Idea.

Don't know if JBoss Tools supports Seam better than Idea, but Idea supports code completion in EL, navigations between configuration files (xml), xhtml and Java code better. I use Maven2 to manage library dependencies (not to compile nor build the project) and it's ok.
