I've prepared an application using seam running on tomcat (thus, a tomcat application). it's pretty clear when the seam apps run on jboss how the logging is configured, but i'm trying to figure out where's the best place to put the log4j files to get logging enabled (basically, during the initial deployment the app was failing - and it turned out to be because the 2nd node in the database cluster wasn't responding for some reason, and when we switched to the primary it worked fine, I just think this would have been clearer if logging was working right)
