Hello all,

I have decided to open-source my project called bugTrack.

BugTrack is used for issue tracking and project management. For many years I wanted JIRA, but its prize is so high that I have decided to develop my own system. This system is already used in production and you may download it and use it for FREE!!!!

Indeed sounds nice, but I'm curious on how many hours you've put in there for your employer since I would not call $1,200-$4,800 expensive (one developer for one month)

No hours for my employer ;D.. All of that is my free labour a research.

Man, if you give me $4,800 per month in Central Europe, I am working for you ;D..

I am using this JDK with JBoss:

C:\>java -version
java version "1.5.0_17"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_17-b04)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.5.0_17-b04, mixed mode)

I downloaded and followed the instructions in readme.txt (had to learn some stuff for mysql db :)

So I copied the exploded EAR and bugtrack-dev-ds.xml to my \server\default\deploy directory for JBoss 4.2.1 (EAP 4.3).

And I see the following stack trace when JBoss starts deploying the EAR:

What JDK did you use to build/compile the bytecode (.class files)?

Was it JDK 6 or 64 bit or different implementation of JVM (BEA, IBM, etc.)?

How can I fix this to begin evaluation of this product?  thx.

Hi Arbi,

yes you are correct I compiled it under Java 6. I use JBoss 4.2.3.GA to run it.

I have 64bit machine but running 32bit Java compiler.

Ok, Arbi, I think you have a good argument and I will try to look at compilation and provide also Java 5 version of BugTrack.

I will try to look at it tomorrow. If there is no update from me you can pester me ;D.

sure why not ;D. I am leaving for a conference for 14 days, but then we can look at it.
