1. Re: Query- and second-level cache in Seam and Tomcat
gonorrhea Apr 7, 2009 11:16 PM (in response to yuriy_zubarev)have you read Ch. 23 Caching in Seam ref doc?
you should be able to use JBoss Cache with Tomcat b/c there is an article in My Link which discusses how to use JBoss Cache w/ Spring (which runs on Tomcat).
are you seeing exceptions or unexpected behavior?

yuriy_zubarev Apr 7, 2009 11:36 PM (in response to yuriy_zubarev)I don't want to use JBoss Cache for now but just EhCache.
I don't see any exceptions, the application works as expected but doesn't utilize any caching at all.
Thank you.

gonorrhea Apr 7, 2009 11:54 PM (in response to yuriy_zubarev)In that case:
EHCache is
suitable for use in any container
according to Yuan book.There is an example like this in the book for components.xml:
<cache:eh-cache-provider configuration="ehcache.xml"/>
the recommended version of ehcache.jar is EHCache 1.2.3.
