Viewing PDF inside Seam Application

Hi,

I wanted to know is it possible to View PDF Files inside our Seam Application. For e.x. Currently we are giving links to document files and the user clicks it and adobe acrobat opens to view the PDF. However, I was thinking whether it is possible to view these PDF files inside only, for e.x. convert the PDF to SWF using pdf2swf and then view it on the web page itself. But how can we put a SWF player inside the application. ANy pointers/help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Ronald for your reply, that is certainly very helpful, but since I would be having multiple documents, I wanted to check if by clicking one link, through ajax the pdf viewer switches files.... Not sure if this is possible with PDF Object.

Hi,

You can view pdf Files inside the Seam application;

One way is Using the  richfaces tag a4j:mediaOutput

using a4j:mediaOutput we are able to display images, txt, word, pdf, flash etc files

The second way is using iframe 

iframe src="pdf file path" height="some height" width="some width"

must remember, you have installed correct version of adobe reader
