Reference Guide 2.6 update

We need to upgrade the 2.6 guide. Here is the list of the chapters which need work:

2. Installation: update screenshots
4. Upgrading 2.4 - 2.6: update screenshots
5. Portlet Primer: update screenshots
8. Error handling configuration: write a section explaining the management UI with screenshots
9. Content Integration: update screenshots
21. Layouts and Themes: update screenshots
22. Ajax: update screenshots

When you choose to update one chapter, respond to this forum topic.

I'm fixing pagination issue on chapter 19 and will update screnshots of chapter 21

Once it's done we will need to update also the other guides.

Has Simon started to translate the getting started guide ?

Chris, you can start to look at the other guides (quickstart and user).

Then we will need to update the Quickstart guide.

in Installation guide I will comment out whole "Installing using the JEMS Installer" section as I don't think 2.6 is part of JEMS installer right now...

I just realize that the quality of my screenshots aren't that great.

But i have no option in Gimp to make it better (unless moving to PNG instead of GIF that can be an option).

Anyone else using Gimp with a solution ?

Linux does not support screenshots by default ? what is the problem, it downgrades pictures ?

I use PNGs for my screenshots...

Linux (at least Fedora) supports screenshots by simply press "PrintScreen" key, but normally the fonts in Linux are not good as those in Windows.

Yes it degrades pictures when i save (after cropping, but it is not that bad, i didn't notice at first), screenshot quality per se is perfect

If i have extra time after everything get updated, i will update them again using PNG this time.
