SEAM background endless thread

Hi all

I need to check every aprox 5 minutes for change at specific web page and update my DB accordingly.

and my question is: How can I make a thread or process in SEAM and
make it run forever right after the server is started?

I've been looking for answer for very long time but got nothing :(
