Migrating seam to higher version

Hi,

We are planning to migrate seam from jboss-seam-2.0.2.SP1 to higher version, please provide your valuable inputs for the environment.

Currently we are using jboss-4.2.3 (which we don't plan to upgrade as of now) with jboss-seam-2.0.2.SP1.

Which seam version will be the compatible with jboss-4.2.3 - JBoss Seam 2.2 2.2.0.GA or JBoss Seam 2.1 2.1.2.GA.
It is mentioned that Seam 2.2 examples target JBoss Application Server 5.1 does it mean that it is not compatible with jboss-4.2.3 AS.

You will probably have a lot less trouble with 2.1 2 than with 2.2.

2.2. will still run fine on jboss 4.2.3, however 2.2 also provides major upgrades to many libraries such as drools that are more likely to cause incompatibilities. Personally I had trouble trying to port my MVEL dialect rules to drools 5 and ended up giving up on moving to 2.2 for the moment.

So, it means means seam 2.1.2 with jboss 4.2.3 will be a good match as of now.

I'm using Seam 2.1.2 mainly with Jboss AS 4.2.2, but also did tries with Jboss AS 4.2.3. I can confirm that both are very stable. I did not try Seam 2.2.

Great thanks for your feedback, I will give it a try (Seam 2.1.2 with Jboss AS 4.2.3).
