eg. A Person may have a list of Children
<rich:dataTable value="#{myBean.parent}" var="parent"> <rich:column>#{parent.name}</rich:column> <rich:subTable value="#{parent.children}" var="child"> <rich:column>#{child.name}</rich:column> </rich:subTable> </rich:dataTable>
Often the biggest problem with using subTables is having the header facet in the column tag rather than on it's own - ie. use a <rich:columnGroup> inside a <f:facet name="header"> directly after the <rich:dataTable>
