upload file through seam to file storage server

hi, how can i upload file to file storage server through seam application using http? i found most the ppl upload to web dir. but this is not practical for me in an efiling system, since the uploaded file size wil be very large and alot file to store.

I think the only option with seam or any other web based technology is to first upload the file to the app server and then send it to the file server via FTP or any other protocol you like.

i was thinking do in this way too. but, i m worry abt the traffic for app server. when i upload or download file, it needs to go through app server aso.
