rich:pickList implementation

Hi I have a list of objects that I retrieve from the database.  I want to display them in the form of rich:pickList.  Can anyone give me a sample implementation of how it is done on the backing bean as well on the jsf view part.

the important thing here is that each row of the pickList is an object not a String.

Please let me know if anyone has an implementation.
