sean.tozer Aug 13, 2010 9:55 AM (in response to olasamuel)Tauseef is exactly right, just throw a rich:poll into your page referencing whatever it is that you want to update. That'll do exactly what you want, from the sounds of it.

lvdberg Aug 13, 2010 2:09 PM (in response to olasamuel)Hi,
If it is a simple static reload of the page, just add the
normal
Metadata tags to your header. If it is a bit more exotic
partial update -ish
use the rich:(ajax) componentsAlthough using the rich:poll is a good advice I additionally advice you to carefully read the synchronisation description of the Rich-manual first before using the component. It seems easy until you want to update within conversations in combination with the async rich:poll (or the push for that matter).
Some tips:- define the eventsQueue,
- Add the limitToList for the rerendering part,
- Enclose the part you want to Rerender and the poll with an a4j:region otherwise the rerenderleaks
outside the part you want to refreshLeo

empinator Aug 14, 2010 10:04 AM (in response to olasamuel)This is something which comes quickly into my head.
Maybe not the
Seam-Way
, but less effort to spend ;-)<head> <meta http-equiv="Refresh" content="0; URL=index.seam?cid=#{conversation.id}"> </head>
