Gotta have it for JSFUnit GA?

The GA release of JSFUnit 1.0 is only about three weeks away.

I'm not promising anything, but I thought I'd ask the community if there is anything you feel that you just gotta have in the release?

Thanks for your continued support.

Thanks for asking, Stan. I don't know if it is already done yet, but for me, the jsfunify Ant task is essential. When I gave JSFUnit a try before, the Ant task was slow and ended up not working for me. Since Ant is such a major part of my development process, I would really like for that whole thing to be seamless.

Thanks again.

JUnit4 support would be nice (but no blocker for GA ;-) ).

Thanks

Thanks for the feedback guys.

@Neil

Is there something besides the performance of the Ant task that was a problem? I've already planned to take a hard look at that before GA, but if you remember any specifics it would help a lot.

@Wolfgang
JUnit 4 should already work. I think there is some kind of Cactus configuration that you need to do though. I'll try to find out for sure and post something on the wiki.

Does anyone else have something to add?

I just talked to the project lead for Cactus. He says that you can use the JUnit4 jar, but annotations like @Test won't work. He says he wants to have full JUnit 4 support in the next major release (2.0).

If anyone wants to help, I'm sure he'd love a volunteer to get it done sooner.

Well, it was a while ago, and my evaluation was informal so I didn't really note down specifics. All I can remember, aside from how slow the Ant task was as you noted, is that the actual war file output wasn't what it needed to be in terms of the contents of the file itself and the configuration. As a result, things didn't work for me.

I'm sorry I couldn't be more specific, but I really have nothing more than a vague recollection of "This looks awesome, but I just can't get it to work for me."

Thanks.

Hi,

Would you mind trying again with the latest snapshot? I really need some feedback. I've updated the ant task to make sure it adds absolutely every jar you could need. I've also updated the documentation.

Here is the snapshot: http://snapshots.jboss.org/maven2/org/jboss/jsfunit/jboss-jsfunit-ant/1.0.0.GA-SNAPSHOT/

And here is the updated doco: http://www.jboss.org/community/docs/DOC-10976
