observer exception break the list of observers

Dears ,
i faced a problem when i have some observers on the same event and when one raises exception
the others in the list of observers will not execute ?
my question is : is this the seam implementation of this topic or i miss understand what is
happening ?  and if seam does this so what should i do to execute the rest of observers even if some of them gave exceptions .

Hi,

the events are chained , meaning it calls the methods sequentalyy, so if you have an error the rest will not work. If you need a certain quality of service, fire different events.

thanks Leo for ur fast reply ,  i knew that this is applied in raiseEvent() method implementation but is this applied in others types of raising the same event for example
the asynchronous raise ?

Hi,

The Asynchronous events work the same, only in another (single) thread, so there you have the same problem. I think the best way to tackle your problem is to (1) catch the exception or (2) fire different events.

I dont know if this will work, but what about catching the exception and raising the event again, with an additional parameter so that you know it comes from an exception, so that you can at the final observer throw the exception?
