1. Re: Not understanding how to use EJBQL in a regular expression using Seam
lvdberg May 24, 2011 9:42 AM (in response to mikjall77)Hi,
have you (1) tried to solve this directly with an EntityQuery in components.xml and (2) how do you trigger additional searches. You should have ajax involved, or do you use a manual submit ?

mikjall77 May 24, 2011 10:14 AM (in response to mikjall77)Thanks for the reply Leo!
We use a manual submit (although on another part of the page, I will be using ajax but feel it's not needed for this part as it.) I have not tried to solve directly with components.xml and not sure if it's feasible. Thanks for the idea though! I think I may try this and it also may prove useful with another problem we're having with another component.
Thanks again!

3. Re: Not understanding how to use EJBQL in a regular expression using Seam
mikjall77 May 24, 2011 11:12 AM (in response to mikjall77)My coworker found a solution:
"not (personData.status not in (#{personSortDataList.statusChoice == 'B' ? " + "'A' : null})", "personData.status not in (#{personSortDataList.statusChoice == 'B' ? " + "'I' : null}))",
Which, as of now, works great!
