ldimaggio Feb 16, 2012 7:00 AM (in response to nelioini)Hi! I'll need more information to help you:
- How did you install the helloworld quickstart into eclipse?
- How did you build and deploy the helloworld.esb archive to the server?
- Can you attach the server.log file?
- Have you been successful in deploying and running the helloworld quickstart from a shell with ant?
Thanks!

nelioini Feb 16, 2012 7:15 AM (in response to ldimaggio)Hello Len,
Thank you for the fast reply
1- How did you install the helloworld quickstart into eclipse?
In eclipse I created an ESB project and I copied the hello world files as the follwoing sctucture
2- How did you build and deploy the helloworld.esb archive to the server?
- to deploy it in eclipse I go to Jboss server and I add the project to the server as follows
then I get this output in the console
then to test it I executed the SendJMSMessage and got this output
3- Can you attach the server.log file?
4- Have you been successful in deploying and running the helloworld quickstart from a shell with ant?
- yes using ant everything is working fine.
Thank you

ldimaggio Feb 16, 2012 8:43 AM (in response to nelioini)You actually are successful! - this is the expected output:
{code}
2012-02-13 14:22:38,133 INFO [STDOUT] (pool-34-thread-1) &&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&
2012-02-13 14:22:38,136 INFO [STDOUT] (pool-34-thread-1) Body: this is a test

{code}
There's a detailed description of how the quickstart functions here:
Does this answer your questions?

nelioini Feb 16, 2012 9:52 AM (in response to ldimaggio)The output you printed is what I get when I execute the SendJMSMessage. But when I try to execute the SendESBMessage I get this exception

10. Re: Running the Jboss ESB hello world from Eclipse Failed to deliver message [header: [ ]] to Service [FirstServiceESB:SimpleListener]
nelioini Feb 17, 2012 5:04 AM (in response to ldimaggio)ok
here I attached the remote service invoker, which is the client to invike the hello world ESB. I attached also the hello world eclipse project
I am using Jboss 6.1.0 and Jbossesb 4.10 and eclipse Indigo
I have put the projects in dropbox since one of them is a bit large because of the libraries
helloworld: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/15655122/hellowworld_example/helloworld.zip
remote-servie-inviker: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/15655122/hellowworld_example/remote-service-invoker.zip
Thank you

11. Re: Running the Jboss ESB hello world from Eclipse Failed to deliver message [header: [ ]] to Service [FirstServiceESB:SimpleListener]
ldimaggio Feb 17, 2012 7:19 AM (in response to nelioini)We're making this more difficult than it has to be. ;-)
One of differences in running the quickstarts in eclipse and from a shell is how you invoke the quickstart after it's deployed. From eclipse, you use a separate client project.
The easiest way to see a running example is to install JBoss Tools and then install the examples. You can see the examples here:
http://anonsvn.jboss.org/repos/jbosstools/workspace/Denny/esb-example-soa-p5.0/
See - there is a separate helloworld and helloworld client.
So - again - the easy (and correct) way to run these is to install JBoss Tools (or JBDS) and then install the already created examples. It's easy!
