different Server configuration

Hi, i am using jboss as 6, i could find there 5 different server configuration( all,default,jbossweb-standalone,minimal,standard) in the loction of jboss-6.0.0.Final\server. in that what is default server configuration and what is the different between these different configuration.

I want to deploy the application where i have to place my EAR file . pls somebody help me ots urgent

Hi,

in your case I would use 'defaul' if you dont want to have clustering. Otherwise all.

all - is more or less default but enable clustering

default - the common used profile

jbossweb-st - as the name is strip to typical web profile

minimal - only the core services (I use this to enable only what I need)

standard - this is a profile conform to the JEE spec (i.e. call-by-value and only conform services)

In case of webservices ,what u would prefer and in case of Jboss AS 7 , what i have to change to deply the same EAR(jboss 6 AS) in jboss 7 AS

I use always all or default as base and strip unwanted services.

For AS7 you might have some classloading issues. Also the complete server configuration and administration will be different you should read the AS7 AdminGuide.
