2. Re: Transaction timeout in MDB
ramboid Feb 25, 2012 3:32 PM (in response to wdfink)That article in the wiki is quite helpful. Nevertheless, I was hoping to configure the transaction timeout of a mdb in a declarative fassion according to the following article:
If I understand correctly, JBoss has extensions for the transaction timeout according to this article:
Hence, I was wondering if I coudl add the following to the jboss.xml file:
<activation-config>
<activation-config-property>
<activation-config-property-name>transactionTimeout</activation-config-property-name>
<activation-config-property-value>21600</activation-config-property-value>
</activation-config-property>
</activation-config>
Would this add the transaction timeout to the onMessage method ot to the whole class? Would this work for a EJB2 and EJB3?

3. Re: Transaction timeout in MDB
wdfink Feb 27, 2012 4:44 AM (in response to ramboid)The Tx timeout is valid for the onMessage method, for JEE this is the whole class because this method is the only called by container.
It should work for EJB2 and EJB3, but I never used it in EJB2.

4. Re: Transaction timeout in MDB
ramboid Feb 27, 2012 6:46 AM (in response to wdfink)The timeout seems to be working. I will know more later. Is the list of activation properties available in a jar or any other file?
