There might be a conflict between dbunit which is transitive dependency from unitils and the one I'm using for APE (2.4.8). As far as I recall Unitils is using 2.4.5 and FlatXmlDataSetBuilder was introduced in 2.4.7.

I removed unitils from pom, and it works fine now!!

As I use Unitils for unit-testing: do you know which component I'd have to exclude for unitils in order to have that working with unitils in pom?

I believe unitils-dbunit is our culprit here. But to be 100% sure you can run

{code}mvn dependency:tree -Dverbose -Dincludes=org.dbunit{code}
