End to end integration flow via Jboss esb using diff gateways (JMS, FTP, Web services)

Can anyone provide simple code (or suggestions) for integrating web application (Java web application) to any other external system using JBoss esb.

I am aware of different gateways available in Jboss esb but done have clear idea to implement in my java application.

I would start with the quickstarts - they are simple examples designed to show how almost every feature in ESB works.       I would start with helloworld, http_gateway, helloworld_ftp_action, webservice_consumer*, helloworld_sql_action, helloworld_hibernate_action, and helloworld_ftp_action.
