RichFaces 4.2.0 as module in AS7 version

Is anyone got success to modularize RF4.2.0 to use in multiple web apps? It will reduce war size significanty. I have no success. It work ONLY if richfaces libs are location under /WEB-INF/lib folder. I think it does make sense to create modules structure for RF as default configuration for AS7
