lafr Mar 18, 2012 7:26 AM (in response to jleinawe)See https://community.jboss.org/message/717261#717261.
Unfortunatly this is no longer supported.
You have to use the management api or Web-Application for that purpose.
This was also true for datasources and message queues.
But the configuration with seperate xml files in the deployments folder was added to 7.1.x recently.

jesper.pedersen Mar 19, 2012 8:05 AM (in response to jleinawe)-ra.xml isn't supported in AS7 - only in IronJacamar/Standalone - since the subsystem:resourceadapters does the same job.
If you want to activate your resource adapter during deployment include a META-INF/ironjacamar.xml file with the configuration.

jleinawe Mar 30, 2012 7:32 PM (in response to jesper.pedersen)If I use META-INF/ironjacamar.xml, it looks like I have to choose which transaction support to use for the rar (LocalTransaction, NoTransaction, or XATransaction).
So if I want to mix XA and Local transactions, it looks like I can't use META-INF/ironjacamar.xml, is this true? Unlike standalone.xml, I don't get to add multiple <resource-adapter> elements.

4. Re: trying to get a <something>-ra.xml to work
jesper.pedersen Apr 3, 2012 6:42 AM (in response to jleinawe)Correct. The META-INF/ironjacamar.xml file is focused on the primary deployment configuration and would typically keep the transaction-support element from ra.xml.
But you can add more configurations by using the subsystem:resource-adapters if you want.
