adding a dashboard portlet in private mode in a page

    yraji

      Hello all,

We are developping our portal based on Gatein.

We have create a home page and add in it a dashboard portlet and some other gadgets in the same page.

The goal is that the gadgets are common to all the users and non editable. The dashboard should be edited by the each user himself and private.

But the issue is that the dashboard is shared by all the portal users. Which means if the userA, modifies the dahsboard of the home page, the users B get the same dashboard in the home page.

Is there anyway to apply/maintain the private mode for the dashboard portlet after adding it in a page?

It is impossible as the two goals conflict each other. To make your dashboard having 'user' scope, the only way is to put it in user page. Unfortunately, that restricts gadgets in the same page to private access
